Zane Qarni is a researcher, educator, and writer dedicated to advancing evidence-based psychedelic education. His work combines academic research, community education, and advocacy to help students better understand consciousness, psychology, and the responsible study of psychedelic substances.
Zane Qarni is completing his M.A. in Psychedelics and Consciousness Studies at the University of Ottawa and holds a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from the University of California, San Diego.
As the founder and president of the Psychedelic Club at UC San Diego, he created educational programming that brought together students, researchers, and professionals interested in the science of psychedelics. His academic work focuses on human performance, consciousness research, and the therapeutic applications of psychedelic medicine.
Zane has supported organizations providing ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, contributed to research operations at the UC San Diego Center for Psychedelic Research, and continues advocacy work with organizations promoting responsible psychedelic education.
At Bufo University, Zane helps students develop a balanced understanding of psychedelic science through research, ethics, and evidence-based learning.
